Romanian Leather Sling

I bought 2 of these slings to use with my 1963 MD63. I was hoping at least 1 was well used but serviceable to match my well worn parts kit. Both slings are in excellent serviceable condition but still show use. 1 of mine also had the rear buckle stitching with an arsenal added rivet, which was a modification the Romanian Army performed on early slings due to the stitching coming loose. I've purchased 4 or 5 of these Romanian Leather slings now and every one has been in excellent, New Old Stock condition. Occasionally they'll also be stamped which is a nice touch for collectors. The leather is high quality, tough and built to last. I usually apply a leather conditioner/waterproofing just to improve longevity and combat the elements but even without I'm sure this sling will stand the test of time. I've had one on my main rifle for well over a year, maybe 2 now and it fits my Romanian MD65 underfolder perfectly. I've heard some people complain that they can't shoulder their rifle with certain AK slings but this one work's great for me and I'm of (slightly above) average height and build (5'10" 170lbs)
