AKM Parts Diagram Poster

Created in the Soviet Union in the 1950’s and added to the Soviet Army arsenal in 1959, the AKM is an upgraded version of the AK47. While the two weapons do not share 100% parts compatibility, many of the parts are interchangeable between the two. As a member of the Warsaw Pact, the Bulgarian military used most of the same weaponry as its co-members, the AKM being one example. Bulgaria was one of few nations to produce their own variant of the AKM within their own borders.
